Spring Project – Clay Garden Gnomes
Follow these instructions and make your own clay garden gnomes!
Materials You’ll Need
- Air-Dry Clay
- Pencil
- Acrylic Paints
- Paint Brushes
- Thin Black Marker
Instructions (see video for details/example)
- Sculpt the gnomes
- Smooth the clay gnomes using water
- Allow clay gnomes to dry and harden
- dry time can vary
- flip gnomes after a few hours to dry evenly
- Draw your gnomes’ designs with a pencil
- Paint your gnomes with acrylic paint
- paint all sides of your gnomes
- When paint is dry, use a thin black marker to add eyes, nose, and mouth to your gnomes
- Place gnomes in garden as decor or use as plant labels
