Fellow believers in Christ and Cadet members,

It’s been a challenging year for all of us. To varying degrees, we have all experienced national, state/province, local, and perhaps church, health-related mandates that have affected our ability to gather as churches and Cadet clubs. Some of us are still under heavy restrictions with no immediate relief in sight. We have all had to deal with some sort of shortfall as a result of public health restrictions.

Our very own Calvinist Cadet Corps is deeply embedded in this shortfall. They are facing a MAJOR budget shortcoming in this upcoming year. A direct result of many factors but chief among them, realizations of expenditures for the now-canceled Camp Great Lakes International Camporee and so many clubs spending so little. Inactive and restricted clubs are not buying club supplies, aren’t using Corps Bible lessons, aren’t buying guidebooks, gifts, and badges. The lack of orders is glaring and the challenge it represents is significant.

Grand Rapids North Council recently met and discussed our role as a Council in this. An option was proposed that we want to introduce you to.

Grand Rapids North Council wants to challenge ALL Councils, Clubs, and individuals to consider a gift to the Calvinist Cadet Corps. To help inspire and promote this endeavor, GR North will match, dollar for dollar, all gifts given to Corps up to a total of $10,000.00.

It is our deepest desire and prayer that by casting a wide net we inspire our colleagues and friends to consider a gift that perhaps they hadn’t before. We are called by Christ to be stewards. We are to give of our gifts and give them with a cheerful heart. We should be proud and honored to help our Corps overcome this time of hardship.

Together, we CAN make a difference. Please join us. Consider a gift of any amount to the CCC and GR North will match that gift up to $10,000.00.
