Contributing to Cadet Quest 2025-2026

About Cadet Quest Magazine

Cadet Quest is a Christian magazine for boys ages 9-14 published by the Calvinist Cadet Corps. It is designed to show boys how God is working in their lives and in the world around them using seven theme-driven issues every year.

But we need content to put together these magazines. Do you like to write? Can you write well? Consider sending us your articles and stories. If you have friends who are writers, please let them know about this opportunity.

What Works for Us

While we’re looking for all sorts of content, we’re primarily interested in fiction and non-fiction material that is Christian-oriented without being too moralizing. We want wholesome, age-appropriate stories that will appeal to active, imaginative boys.

We’re not just looking for longer stories and articles, though – we’re also in need of jokes, puzzles, projects, and news stories that feature Cadets. If you or your cadets want to contribute, we want to hear from you!

The Upcoming Themes

We’re especially interested in material that addresses the theme of that issue. Here are the themes for the upcoming issues of Cadet Quest:

• September/October 2025: Stand Firm (our theme for the season!)
• November 2025: Tasty
• December 2025: Christmas
• January 2026: Electricity
• February 2026: Mountains
• March 2026: Construction
• April/May 2026: Soccer
