Blog Year in Review
Starting in January of 2020, we tried to be very intentional in creating blog content on a near-weekly basis. It has been an unusual year, and we’ve covered lots of subjects that were new to us. With the year almost over, we wanted to take a look back at some highlights.
New Year
2020 CCC Congress was a big kick-off to the new year.
We had no idea it would be one of our last large gatherings for a while.
New Staff
Trevor Burnett joined the Cadet Office staff as a Junior Designer and Video Producer.
More Videos
Adding Trevor meant that we could produce videos more often, including the Cadet Quest magazine overviews, Counselor Steve lesson videos, and DIY project videos. To view more videos, check out and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
Coronavirus
COVID-19 was of course a common topic, leading to the creation of our COVID resources page, which included posts about meeting virtually, and new products like our Cadets@Home books and kits. (See “What’s New” in our stores – U.S. Store – Canada Store) We also made an issue of Cadet Quest magazine free to download – be sure to get your copy here.
Catalog Additions
We added lots of new products to our catalog this year, including the new RPB Guidebook.
Online Additions
We also added to our online presence with a new main website launch, new U.S. online store and Canada online store, plus a revamped counselor website.
New Theme for 2020-2021
We added a new theme for the 2020-2021 season – Dive Into the Word. We also developed plenty of supporting materials as well as Bible reading plans to go along with this theme.
More New Ideas
For next year, our intentions remain the same: to find new and improved ways to support those who are helping boys become more Christlike in all areas of life. If you’d like to help us in our mission, please consider giving to (and praying for) the Calvinist Cadet Corps.
