2017 Camporee Preparations Underway
On June 12 and 13 the host committee for the 2017 International Camporee had work days at the Camporee Site in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The initial work was to clear brush from the color areas and cut some timber for firewood. A Skid-Steer was brought in to pile the brush that will be burned this winter. Any sizable timber was cut up for firewood and stacked between trees. The host committee is making sure they are ready for camporee 2017 — are you preparing? Never too early to start your fundraising to make sure every boy that wants to be there — is there. And don’t forget your camporee certification training. The longer you practice the knots and lashing and cooking the more confident your boys will be at camp and the more confident they are, the more they will enjoy the experience.
